Your New Puppy
What should you expect from your new puppy?

What will your puppy come home with?
*Puppies go home with their own bag of goodies. Included are a blanket that smells like mom and siblings, puppy food they are used to eating, a toy, a puzzle, a folder with all of his/her paperwork, enough posting supplies for a few changes (you will need to buy duck tape and Hampton Adams tape). If you need a leash or collar please let us know in advance.

When do you begin training?
*Puppies are very curious and smart, they are always learning and taking things in. As soon as you take your puppy home they are learning so use it to your advantage! You can start basic things like sit, down, come, place, shake, etc when they come home. House training and coming to their name will probably be the first things they learn.
What will your puppy be used to?
*Your puppy will have been raised in our house with our family. So they will be used to people of all ages (toddler to teenager to adult), normal household sounds and scents, and other dogs. They know it is quiet time when it gets dark and morning is play time. They will be accustomed to being carried, played with, and facing new things daily.
What training has your puppy started?
*Your puppy will have learned to follow people naturally and the beginnings on charging a clicker (so they know when they hear a click a treat is coming. If we know what their name will be they will have started associating it to attention and treats. It is hard however to name train an entire litter at once. So they all answer to "puppy" and "baby". Your puppy will have been potty box trained, it is not recommended you continue this, however it means they have learned targeted elimination - so there is a specific place to go to the bathroom, and it isn't wherever you are when you feel the urge.
What has my puppy been eating?
*We feed ProPlan large breed puppy to all of our puppies, they will go home with some. We recommend adding Missing Link puppy supplement and Salmon oil which can be found on Amazon. But it isn't necessary.
